Mr. Quinlan was our teacher for DCG.
Before the new term commenced, I was a bit apprehensive about DCG, because I did not think I would be able to understand or do what was asked of me in class.
However, when I discovered that we would be creating posters for our term credits, I was over-the-moon with delight! This was more my forte, therefore I was pleased with my work.
We had to create a design and sketch-incorporated project consisting of four A3 pages.
It could be on any item of our choosing, but it was preferred if the item existed way before our time, and is still around today. I chose to do my project on women's hats because I could obtain a myriad of photos (antique and modern), sketch them easily and place them on a timeline.
First page - 25 pictures (half primary, half secondary sources) of my chosen item. Must be able to organise all pictures so that they cover the page. Each photo must be different. Briefly describe each image.
Second page - Timeline, style-line or price-line
Third page - Compare and Contrast ( Choose two images that are evidently different, but also have some similarities. Draw sketches of the images. Outline each image, i.e size, shape or price.)
Fourth page - Free-hand sketches (Take a new image and draw it in its components first, and then as a whole.)
