In Maths, Mr. Rattigan gave us questions and puzzles on sequences and patterns. We worked individually and in groups to solve them, as well as making a joint presentation. The theme of the presentation is sequences in everyday life. Here is the presentation Órla and I worked on:
My maths teacher for Term Two was Ms.Brennan.
We focused on different aspects of algebra; finding the roots, '-b formula' and using the array method.
We were shown new methods of factorising. This lesson really aided me, as I learned a new, easier way to factorise.
To obtain credits, I had to design a poster on a mathematician born on my birthday. I researched Alexander Murray Macbeath.
We had Ms. Liston for maths this term.
We refurbished our knowledge of 'Coordinate Geometry' from JC Maths, covering a vast portion of old, and new topics.
I learned how to calculate the area of a triangle, using a new formula from my log tables.
