Wednesday and Thursday were dedicated to an online virtual course and a zoom call with Justin and Dave; who are experienced in making, recording and sharing podcasts.
On Wednesday, we wrote a script for an 'alien invasion' in which we were given a template to work on, and all we had to do was add intro and outro music tunes as well as record the final piece of our news report.
A podcast is an audio program in which one can talk about any topic of their choice, or interview a guest. People can listen to these podcasts and develop a better understanding of what is entailed, and gain inspiration.
On Thursday, we interpreted some sound effects and speech into our new fictional podcast. My podcast was about an arrest, so some effects I used were police sirens, hand cuffs and loud knocking.
3 things I enjoyed:
Making my own podcast
Hearing other people's ideas and sound effects
Exploring new apps
2 things I learned:
How to use 'Soundbible' to download sound effects
How to transfer my written script into 'Bandlab'.
1 thing I would change:
I would rather do the course for one day, because I felt that it was a bit long.
