Mr.Walsh set up an overall goal for our 3 TY Community classes. This was to revamp the fairy walk/garden outside Ratfredagh Chesire Home.
To start, we each drew a rough plan of what we would like to add to the garden. We were asked to bring in some materials like felt, cloth and stones.
I decided to make a fairy well and clothes for a washing line.
The base of the fairy well was a ceramic pot, the roof was made from timber with glued on twigs and I hung a small basket to resemble a bucket.
After midterm, we are hoping to go to Rathfredagh to set up our items.
After midterm, each TY class visited Rathfredagh's grounds to set up their pieces, or work on maintenance jobs.
We arrived at 10am, and left again at 2pm.
We had two lunch breaks, as well as a chance to walk around the trail.
I used a leaf-blower for the first time, clearing the paths surrounding the woods.
I positioned my well against one of the trees, and helped put up a pre-exisiting clothes line.
I really enjoyed my visit because my mother works there, and she iterated that the staff and especially the patients would enjoy seeing all the beautiful craft work we worked on.

There has been a want from the student body, (as surveyed by the student council) to replace/upgrade the existing benches near the pitch at the back of the school.
The current seating 'logs' have been there for awhile, so they have started to rot and deteriorate.
So, transition years have taken the initiative to make up new benches during their community classes.
Firstly, we set out digging multiple holes in the ground for the new posts. We marked the area, so people would avoid walking near them.
Secondly, we scraped the bark of some tree stumps. (These are going to become the seats).
Thirdly, we placed new stumps into the holes and added the horizontal logs on top.
