Roller Jam

  • Exhausted after our skating session!

  • Ready....skate.....GO!!!!!!

Rating- 5 stars

  • On December the 18th, we left school at approximately 10 o'clock.

  • We were on our way to Roller Jam, a roller-skating ring outside Limerick city.

  • Ms.Clarson, Mr.Farrell and Ms.Davis accompanied us.

  • I was really looking forward to this outing, as we had not gone on any trip since awhile. Also, I was excited to try roller-skating as I have never experienced it before, although I have been ice-skating.

  • We were also informed that we would be stopping at the Crescent shopping centre beforehand for half an hour, just to shop or pick up something to eat.

  • At the Crescent, Órla and I shopped in Penneys and Lifestyle Sports, as well as grabbing hot chocolates in Costa. We realised with had minutes to spare, before returning to our bus. We hurried back to the bus, and headed to Roller Jam.

  • Once we had laced up our skates and handed in our shoes, off we went! I struggled to remain upright in the beginning, but once a few of of friends showed me the ropes, I could manage!

  • When we returned to school, (energy-deficient) Mr.Murphy had food ready for us.

  • I gave this trip five stars because I loved the skating and especially shopping! I thought it was an excellent way of spending more time with friends, and detoxing from our usual school environment.

3 things I enjoyed:

  • Shopping with friends

  • Learning how to skate

  • Chatting on the bus

2 things I learned:

  • How to skate

  • How to stick to a designated time plan

1 thing I would change:

  • I wish we could have had more time skating, as the time flew!
