Counselor Corner
This year at Beaver Tech, our students will be learning about the 7 Mindsets during our daily SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) time! We will focus on one mindset for 3-4 weeks. The first one is Everything is Possible! We'll be teaching our students to Dream Big, Embrace Creativity, Think Positively, and Act and Adjust. This will be perfect for teaching a Growth Mindset and how to have grit and perseverance!
Tips for Parents and Families:
Connect with your child's teacher early in the school year! The best way to get connected is through Class Dojo. If you're not sure how to be added to a class, let us know and we can get you connected!
Be consistent with early bedtimes and daily routines! We're just a couple of weeks into school and it's important to establish regular schedules for your child. Knowing what to expect each day helps your student to perform better academically and socially.
Let us feed your student! Encourage your student to take advantage of the free breakfast in the classroom each day. The students have raved about how yummy the food is each day! Also, don't forget lunch is free for every student! Encourage them to try new foods and save yourself some money too!
