SEL LESSONS
Next week, Beaver Stars continue learning about the 7 Mindsets through our daily social-emotional learning (SEL) lesson! These lessons last 15 minutes and are done right after our morning announcements in each classroom.
What are the 7 Mindsets?
The 7 Mindsets is a curriculum written for kids based on years of research. It answers one simple question: What do the world's happiest and most successful people have in common?
Research showed that it does not matter where a person comes from, what ethnicity or gender they are, or how much money they have.
Research revealed that it's not WHAT a person knows, but HOW a person thinks that helps students become successful.
This week we are focusing on the second Mindset: PASSION FIRST!
This mindset teaches us that we are each unique, with dreams and passions that should be shared with the world. It also teaches our students to find validation from within, rather than on things they can accumulate. We'll focus our attention toward helping them understand the skills they’re building, the knowledge they’re gaining, and the relationships they’re forming along the way.
