After School Activities

The After School Activity (ASA) program is held after school from 3:30pm to 4:10pm for elementary school and 3:35- 4:25 for secondary school on four days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) per week.  The activities are organized into three blocks during the year.

ASAs aim to:

Each year a variety of after school activities are offered. Run by FIS staff, some of the activities on offer have a competitive focus (games and tournaments) while other activities place more emphasis on individual improvement, enrichment, and cooperation. At the beginning of each trimester, information is provided about which activities will be on offer that trimester. Sign-ups will take place online at a specified time. While every effort is made to provide students with the activity of their choice, some activities are heavily subscribed and activity slots will go to those students who sign up first.  Students are expected to pursue a chosen activity for the full period for which it is offered. Most activities are ‘free’, however in some cases a charge is made.
