Withdrawing from FIS

At least 15 days prior to the time of withdrawal from FIS, a completed Withdrawal Form should be forwarded to the Head of School. The Head of Admissions will then initiate the withdrawal process by notifying the teachers and Business Office.

Upon the receipt of a Withdrawal Form, the Business Office will contact the family to settle the school fees. In the case of early withdrawal, the tuition will be charged until the last day of the month of your child’s last school day. For withdrawals in April, May and June, no refunds will be granted.

School Transcripts/Records

As part of the withdrawal process, parents will be sent their child's student record - except in the case of delinquent payment, where school policy prohibits the release of grades, transcripts, letters of reference or other school records. A school transcript will be provided for High School students. This is an official documentation of courses taken between grades 9-12 (which may also include courses taken in other schools).  More information on high school transcripts can be found here.

If there is testing required for the new school, FIS will try to support the process.  FIS requires the new school to contact the Principal of Teaching and Learning directly to discuss if FIS can support any required testing.

Return of FIS books & materials

Secondary students are expected to complete a Book Return Form (available from the Business Office) to ensure the return of all FIS books and materials. The form must be signed by the relevant teachers and librarian and returned to the Business Office when complete. Failure to return outstanding books and resources or significant damage to books will result in fees being charged to the student.
