Drop Off & Pick Up
FIS takes student safety seriously and thus manages our car park to support safe student arrival and departure from school.
Pick Up & Drop Off Procedure
In the morning FIS has a ‘drop-off’ routine where parents pull up in their car and staff help children exit the car and safely enter the school playground.
Starting the School Day
The drop-off times are
Kindergarten - Grade 5 from 8:00-8:10
Grades 6-12 from 8:00 to 8:10
Before entering the building all staff and students must wash their hands with soap at the designated sinks.
Elementary students will wait in their grade groups to be dismissed from the playground to their homerooms at 8:10 At this time parking in the car park is only available to parents who are at FIS for a meeting. These parents are identified by the ‘parking permit’ they must display in their car. The same routine works in reverse in the afternoon, with staff on duty supporting student ‘pick-up’.
Dismissal
Elementary School
ES will wait for pick up a car or parents at the Parent Pick up Zone. All cars will need to have FIS Pick up Number.

Bike Gate & Parking
All students and parents who are riding their bikes to school and parking must adhere to the following bike parking rules.
Bike Parking Rules for Whole School:
Everyone has to walk their bikes in and out the back gate.
Elementary students use the lower racks to park their bikes.
Secondary students use the upper racks to park their bikes.
Students park all the way to the end of the parking lot so that bikes are not in the way when they come in. There is a master picture showing the order of parking below. Follow the numbers and the arrows.
Students with bikes with thick tires have two locations where they can park their bikes. There are signs on the walls.
Students cannot park in the staff parking spaces.
