Marketing Plan

A marketing plan is an operational document that outlines an advertising strategy. It helps with concretising our goals and finding the most efficient ways of achieving them. Naturally, it also helps you stay on track whenever something becomes uncertain, you lose your motivation or simply forget what you wanted to achieve and how. You could compare it to a One Year Operational Plan (OYOP). In addition, it is somewhat of a summary of our market research, segmentation and positioning efforts. But it is so much more!

A good marketing plan has to be precise and organised, therefore, it must take into consideration as many projects you will be working on as possible. You cannot simply take into account what you know about your market niche. That knowledge should serve you as a filter for the rest.

The core of your marketing plan is the timeline with all the local, national and international projects you will be working on. You need to plan when to approach them and how. There might be elements/practices you should utilise in every promotional campaign. There might be things that were typically done but you know now that they do not work for your audience.
