COURSE CONTENT

Theory

In this subject students will obtain an understanding of the scientific nature of psychology while exploring specific areas within the psychology profession. 

They will investigate how psychologists use various research methods to gather information that form psychological theories and knowledge. Neuropsychology (the human nervous system), Clinical Psychology (mental health and mental illness) and Forensic Psychology (criminal profiling) are the areas, which will be explored in more detail. Students will look at the roles of psychologists who work in these areas as well as explore “real life” case studies.

Practical

Practical activities include: brain dissection and criminal profiling.
