COURSE CONTENT
Theory
Students investigate the work of textile designers and from past to present. They research to make judgements about the appropriateness of design ideas, the design elements and principles and the selection of new emerging materials and of tools and the quality of textile items. Students will use this knowledge to transfer within practical projects.
Practical
Students will use the design process to investigate and define, generate and design, to produce quality products.
Course fee: $100 per student per semester will be applicable to cover the cost of material used.
Homestead Senior provides a standard curriculum which is available to all students free of charge. Specialist subjects are in addition to the standard curriculum at Year 10 and for the sustainability of these courses, a family contribution is required.
To reserve your child’s place in this course, the college requires a minimum of 60% deposit, payable during course counseling appointment. Without a deposit, the college may allocate the place to another student.
