COURSE CONTENT

Theory

Students will learn about the structure and function of organelles in a plant and animal cell. Students will use microscopes to explore different cell types and design a model of a cell. They will look at different human body systems and understand how the main organs in each of these systems function to keep us alive. Students will explore human evolution and look at how natural selection has resulted in the different species on earth. Finally, students will explore their DNA and genetic inheritance. They will understand how traits are passed on from one generation to another.
