COURSE CONTENT
Theory
Students will learn to analyse visual communications using the design elements and principles. They will explore the roles of different design fields in communication and develop an understanding of professional design practices.
Practical
Students will learn to design and create one- and two-point perspective drawings, as well as develop surface textures through rendering and shading techniques. They will also gain an understanding of how to produce orthogonal drawings using correct methods and technical drawing conventions. Taking on the role of a designer, students will respond to a brief within a specific design field, using the design process to develop and refine their concepts. Final presentations will be created using Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
