COURSE CONTENT

Theory

Students will learn how to write and participate in a tailored exercise program based on individual goals. Students will explore various training methods, fitness components and training principles used to write a tailored exercise program, as well as meeting the Australian Physical Activity and Sedentary Guidelines. Students will learn how the muscular and skeletal systems work together to produce movement. 


Students will learn legal and illegal performance enhancing methods used in various sports, with an emphasis on nutrition, and how fitness goals can be achieved through proper nutrition intake. Students will also learn the different forms of physical activity, whilst learning about different enablers and barriers to participating in physical activity. 


Students will regularly participate in various fitness activities and exercises (with and without equipment) to explore and identify their interests and tailor their program.


Practical- 1 Double Period a week


Students will be charged a fee for the subject which will be for the entire semester. The approximate cost of the subject will be $25.00. Payment details will be sent home and need to be paid by the due date.
