Aspects that apply to RK23 building specifically:
In RK23 we use only indoor shoes to improve our air quality and to keep our carpets clean! Students can leave their shoes to the entrance lobby or to their lockers, in which case the shoes must be taken of before entering the stairs. In other classrooms the students can of course wear socks, but for science classrooms you need indoor shoes.
The building is used by two separate schools, Ressun lukio and Ressu Comprehensive School, which each operate on their own separate floors. Students are not allowed to enter the area of the other school. Always behave politely and respectfully towards all students, teachers and staff you meet in the building.
The first floor lobby and cafeteria is a shared area. Ressun lukio students must eat during their own lunch time.
All our regular classrooms are located on 4th and 5th floor. Typically languages are taught on the 4th floor while humanities, mathematics and sciences have classrooms on the 5th floor.
The students are not allowed to use the elevators . In case of health-related conditions which require the use of the elevator, contact Deputy Principal Pia-Helena Bär to get the written permission for this.
The windows must be kept closed because of safety reasons and the automated ventilation system.
