After graduating from the Diploma Programme, you have different options. You can continue your studies in:
Vocational institutions: A vocational upper secondary qualification (in Finnish: ammatillinen perustutkinto) gives you broad basic professional skills for various tasks within an industry. It takes two years to complete a vocational degree.
University of applied sciences degree is a higher education degree that gives you skills and competences to work in a variety of expert, planning and development positions. In universities of applied sciences, you complete a Bachelor’s degree. UAS masters are offered as well but they require Bacherlors degree + 3 years work experience
The University degree system includes the first cycle (lower academic / Bachelor’s) degree and the second cycle (higher academic / Master’s) degree. Bachelor’s degree: 3-4 years of full-time study and Master’s degree: 1-2 years of full-time study.
