For foreign universities you might need several different documents to attach to your application.
Most common documents are:
transcript of records which is the school’s term report of your grades through preDP year until your latest term in DP2 year
study certificate showing your year of enrollment to the IB World School 001419, end of the academic year as well as your estimated graduation date and the language of studies (English)
PG your predicted grades on your DP2 year at the end of August or early September and later you will get the final predicted grades in the end of February
All the above documents you can get from the DP school office in Ruoholahdenkatu 23. Book a time with Tarja Ryan (Wilma message) to obtain the documents. Please note that it takes time to process the documents and make sure to ask for the documents well in advance. In practise this means that eg if you need the documents when the Christmas holiday begins, you need to ask them in mid December at the latest. The documents will not be processed during the school holidays.
*some universities might also have their own forms to be filled in. Those you can find in university’s own website of each faculty, check them carefully and bring them to the DP school office already filled in. Forms will be checked, signed and stamped by the DP school office.
Applying after graduation:
After you have graduated you might need your IB Diploma to be certified. That can be done also in the DP school office but bring your original IB Diploma and the copies of the IB Diploma ready to be certified. Remember to book a time (not during school holidays).
It is important to check on university’s website does the IB Diploma need to be certified by the special authority as DVV (Digital and Population Data Services Agency).
For Finnish universities you will need to provide your PG predicted grades in February (eg Aalto) or early April and those grades you can send directly from your MyStudies (OmaOpintopolku).
As the IB Diploma final grades will not transfer to MyStudies you have to give to the Finnish University a scanned copy of your IB Diploma or as the Finnish University advices you to give it.
Never give your original IB Diploma to anyone, only certified copies of it.
When you graduate you will also get the Final Report from the school. In the Final Report you will have your average grade of your studied subjects during year DP1 and DP2.
