The school is run by the City of Helsinki and does not charge for tuition. School meals and the health services are free. Only those students who do not fall under the extended compulsory education in Finland will have to purchase their textbooks, study materials and pay the final exam fees.
Computer, mouse and headphones
Before the student can receive the computer for school work, both the the student and the guardian have to accept the form "Computer handover and terms of use". You can find the form in Wilma “Forms”. The students will also receive a mouse and headphones for the study use.
Please notice: computer, mouse and headphones and all other school belongings must be returned on the designated day in May. If you are planning to take Finnish University entrance exams in late May/June, you can't use the school laptop.
Microsoft 365
Each student will receive their own edu.hel.fi accounts. With that account the student is able to use o365 e-mail, Excel, Microsoft OneDrive and many other Microsoft products. The students can also download and install desktop applications via following steps:
Log into your o365 e-mail.
Click the menu from the top left corner.
Click "Microsoft 365 --> "
Click "Home"
Choose "Install applications" from top right corner.
Google Workspace
The same edu.hel.fi account works also for Google products. The students can use for example gmail, online calendar and drive. Google Classroom and sites is also used in many courses as a course platform. It is easy to link the school calendar to your own google calendar.
