Zombie Survival Guide

A Learning Reflection of Your Journey

Click here to receive an electronic Zombie Survival Guide Notebook!   You will use the notebook to track your learning and new ideas throughout this PLM.  A link to your completed notebook will need to be submitted to plmcertifiacte@gmail.com to receive credit for completing this module.

This is an interactive electronic notebook.  A notebook like this can easily be used in the classroom with students.  This allows students to keep track of notes and activities electronically.  A Google Slide Notebook is very simple to use if your school uses Schoology or Google Classroom.

Goal

This professional learning module was designed to equip teachers with the knowledge to prepare for high-impact instruction and learning. The implementation of high-impact learning using research-based strategies that promote student engagement will make learning accessible to students and produce learning that sticks. This PLM gives a battle plan to prepare for learning and instruction. This battle plan includes the why and how of learning. Research-based instructional strategies are included that will help teachers and students avoid becoming burn-out zombies.

Educational Standards

This PLM uses the South Carolina 2023 ELA Standards for grades 9-12.  It has a focus on each of the four major domains of the standards.  Teachers can implement the strategies and material from this PLM in multiple areas of the standards. Though we have based this PLM on the SC standards, the material in this PLM is applicable to all secondary education English Language Arts classrooms.

The PLM also uses the Standards for Professional Learning.  This PLM is intended to support adult learners.
