A MESSAGE FROM

Principal Santos

It's Assistant Principal's Week! To say that I am truly grateful for my A-Team is the understatement of the decade. These fierce females are truly the secret sauce to the magic of Solar. Day in and day out they show up and work tirelessly for everyone around them. From managing buses to arrival and dismissal, cafeteria duty, student safety, discipline, weekly professional development, master schedule development, communication, field trips, technology, grade books, supporting with testing, coaching and evaluating teachers and EVERYTHING in between; they do their job each day with a smile and a huge amount of passion! No amount of words can truly express the awe they inspire and the joy they bring to my day.

Ms. Ladipo - Thank you for your positivity and focus! You are a powerhouse master of all the technical components to school leadership and can get through a task list like no one I have ever seen. You answer my emails before I have even typed them and always find a way to lift me up and make me laugh!

Ms. Banda - You have a way of making all of us feel special and loved and always step in to solve problems and make sure all hands are on deck at all times. Thank you for being everyone's biggest cheerleader, leading ALL things hiring and communication, leveling up how we celebrate one another and guiding us with your knowledge and organization each and every day!

Ms. Brackens - You joined us in October and hit the ground running. You lead with curiosity and grit and and I appreciate your sense of calm and your ability to keep us all on track. You are reflective and truly take time to listen to our Trailblazers and bring their voice to the table. Thank you for always looking for new ways to keep our building safe and level us up as a school community!

Whether it's a note or a hug or a wave in the carline, please help me celebrate these Fierce Female Trailblazers this week and thank them for all they do for our Solar community!

We had so much fun at our first two Parent Workshops! Join us for the next one, This Friday for a morning of collaboration and reflection!

Our Teacher Appreciation Week is being planned for the first week of May, and we are looking for in-kind donations for door prizes and gifts to help show our gratitude for the amazing members of our staff.

If you have a service, donation or gift card that you would like to donate to our stellar Solar staff, you may drop off anything with the front office or contact Mrs. Banda at jesramirez@dallasisd.org. Thank you in advance for helping bring cheer to our staff.
