The Roaring Twenties Magazine Project
Task:
Students will have to produce a magazine similar to the type of news periodicals that exist today, i.e. Newsweek, Time, etc.
Students will work in groups of four.
Each group submission will contain the following: four separate articles, two advertisements, front page (cover that mentions some of the articles within), table of contents, and a credit page.
The articles will be 300-350 words in length, and will need to include pictures and captions.
The advertisements should contain large font and images that capture the reader's attention.
Students will be evaluated individually, as well as, within a group.
Grading:
- Outline (graphic organizer) - 15 pts (classwork grade)
- Rough Draft - 25 pts (quiz grade)
- Final Grade - 50 pts (quiz grade)
