I went into education because...Working with children and continuing to learn about history seemed to be a perfect fit with what I wanted to do with my life!
Why I became a teacher...I loved studying history (I was a Roman history major in college) and started working with kids as a camp counselor during the summers when I was in high school. Learning how to teach and lead kids was a challenge and an adventure that I found to be amazingly rewarding.
On a Saturday, you'll find me...Hopefully leaving the immediate area to check out a cool museum (I love the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC), or go for an interesting hike in some place like the White Mountains or Adirondacks. I also love coaching or going to track meets and I'll be watching my daughter run for her high school on several Saturdays this fall.
