Why I became a teacher...because I love history so much that I felt that students deserve to have a teacher who makes it interesting. In my high school experience, I had one teacher who made history boring and dull and three others who made it exciting and captivating. I wanted to give that enthusiasm to my students. History is my passion - I love antiques, museums, art and travel. History may come in a variety of forms - from forgotten old letters, to dusty books from the 1930s to pair of old glasses. Meanwhile, teaching gives me a chance to share my passions and ignite students curiosity to learn about the past so they may better understand our present day.
On a Saturday, you'll find me...with my family up in the Northeast corner of the state enjoying time with my dog, Django and new kitten, Panther.
