Why I became a teacher...I grew up with an entire family of teachers. My mother was a teacher in our small town and many of my friends had her in class. My grandmother was a teacher, my older sister became a teacher. It is in my blood, it just took be awhile to get there. I went to college to be a teacher,. I majored in math, but changed my mind about teaching and took up computer courses after spending a summer internship working for the Army Corp of Engineers in DC. After college I worked in the computer field for 9 years before deciding teaching really was in my blood and my heart. I went back to school to get my certification. I have never regretted it!
