Why I became a teacher...I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I love to read and write, and I love sharing those experiences and knowledge with others. I started teaching at Bacon Academy eleven years ago and being a teacher has allowed me to continue to learn and grow with my students over these years. I enjoy learning new things about literature and the world with my students, and I'm lucky to be in an environment that encourages academic risks and encourages an atmosphere for educational growth!
K.Manning Open House Video 2020.webmOn Saturday you'll find me...on an adventure with my family. We spend a lot of time outside and love to hike, bike ride, and swim when it is warm enough. We go on lots of seasonal adventures including apple picking, fairs, festivals, train rides, and any other type of outdoor activity we can find. We love the Dinosaur Place, the aquarium, and the beaches in Niantic and at Misquamict. My four year old son and I love to cook, so in the evening you'll find us in the kitchen trying new recipes and then enjoying a family dinner.
