Open_House_-_Courtemanche_720p.mp4My career path to education took many turns. People often think the path to success, in whatever form, should be something of a straight line. However, the truth is, it is the most crooked, twisted, up & down, make you dizzy & crazy route. I am grateful for my turn of events that lead me to the profession of education. It is the prefect career.
When I was in high school, I had a teacher who pulled me aside to help me because I was struggling with a particularly hard assignment. She was able to show me a way to approach the assignment that made it easier for me to understand so that I could stick with it. She helped me build my self-esteem and encouraged me through each step, helping me see the path. I never forgot the lesson of how attitude & small decisions affects our behavior. In every job I have ever had, I have always been the one to train, to teach and to encourage and people said all the time “you should be a teacher”. I never thought I could – until I bumped into that high school teacher – and she said the same thing.
On a Saturday, you'll find me...
At my son’s soccer games
• At my daughter’s equestrian competitions
• Helping my parents (they were great parents – I owe them big!)
• Spending time with the rest of my huge family
• Playing with & walking our dog Mac
• Cleaning the house, doing laundry & running errands (you’d be surprised how fast I can do this)
• Jet skiing, painting, biking (the slow relaxing kind), singing & gardening
• Taking the family on a road trip. There are so many great places to explore!
• Getting ready for school - Here we go again!
