We are proud to reflect on what has been a truly remarkable basketball season. This year, our program embraced new strategies, intensive training, and innovative approaches to player development, all of which contributed to the growth and success of our teams across all age groups.
Mini Cricket
The Grade 1 and 2 boys' mini cricket season has been an exciting showcase of budding talent and enthusiasm for the sport. From their very first practice sessions to their thrilling matches we managed to play, the boys have displayed remarkable growth, embracing the fundamentals of cricket with determination and joy. To top things off, it was awesome for the grade 2s as they got a taster in hard-ball cricket.
Cricket
This term’s cricket season has been an incredible journey of growth and teamwork for our young boys. Their commitment to training, love for the game, and willingness to push their limits have been truly inspiring. A special highlight of the season was the valuable contribution of several girls who joined some of our teams, showcasing the inclusivity and collaborative spirit of the sport.
On the weekend of the 20th of September, the U11 cricket team participated in the exciting Saints 100 Festival held at St. Charles College. It was a weekend filled with sportsmanship, camaraderie, and skill, despite the unpredictable weather.
This term has been an extraordinary one for Clifton Equestrian Centre! Our riders have demonstrated remarkable talent, dedication, and enthusiasm, delivering outstanding results throughout the term.
This year has been nothing short of exhilarating, filled with a packed calendar and an enthusiastic wave of squash players keen to take part in every possible event. The numerous KZN trials in the first term played a major role for those aiming to make provincial teams, and we were incredibly proud of our Clifton participants who not only performed outstandingly but also impressed with their exemplary manners and sportsmanship.
Term 4’s swimming season was marked by unpredictable weather that caused significant disruptions to our schedule. Despite this, our swimmers displayed unwavering commitment and enthusiasm. Although we could only participate in one inter-schools gala, our boys and girls came together as a team, giving their absolute best and representing Clifton with pride and sportsmanship.
Tennis
The 1st and 2nd Girls' Tennis Team participated in the Winterton Sports Festival over this past weekend, with Clifton entering 8 players to compete against teams from Winterton and Pelham.
Cricket
This past weekend, the 2nd XI boys cricket team competed in the Winterton Sports Festival, facing off against 1st teams in a 10 over per innings match format. Despite narrowly losing four out of five matches, the boys showed resilience and determination.
