Grade 6 & 7 Walk and Picnic at Cliff's Dam - 21 November
The Grade 6s and 7s took a gentle stroll through Top Woods to spend time doing some of the important ‘stuff’ – enjoying one another’s company - for a picnic at Cliff's Dam. Heading on this very traditional walk, just like so many Clifton children have done in years gone by, the excitement levels were high.
The journey began with a winding path up through the woods, opening onto the gently descending forestry road and a chance to enjoy the magnificent view of the Berg and Spring Grove Dam. A slightly steeper descent towards Cliff’s Dam saw a growing momentum developing, too, with longer strides being taken. Before too long there were sighs of relaxation and some contented enjoyment at the dam’s edge.
Our time at the dam allowed us to reflect on what has been a very busy, very rewarding term.
A leisurely stroll, then, back to school…
Our thanks to Mr. Peter Greene for his generosity in allowing the Clifton crew the opportunity to go to Cliff’s dam, and to the staff who facilitated and oversaw the trundle.
