Farmers Market - 8 November

Our Grade 4 Farmers Market was a huge success, brimming with excitement, delicious treats, and a wonderful community spirit! It was truly a day to remember, filled with an array of goodies – from biltong, cupcakes, brownies, and milkshakes to homemade jams, creating a sweet paradise for everyone who visited.

The market had a fabulous vibe, set against a lively background of country music, with fresh produce from our very own gardens and eggs laid by our Clifton chickens. It was heartwarming to see such a display of handmade crafts made with care and creativity, including beautiful knitted and crocheted items.

We even had an array of adorable animals – bunnies, ducks, chicks, sheep, and calves – that added to the charm of the day, giving everyone a chance to pet and enjoy these furry and feathered friends. Games, raffles, and prizes kept the fun going, and the weather seemed determined to join in the celebration by blessing us with sunshine.

The teachers are so proud of what the Grade 4s achieved and the hard work they put into each and every item. The effort and enthusiasm from both students and parents made this day unforgettable, bringing everyone together to celebrate in the best possible way. Thank you!

Trip to Roselands - 23-25 October

What an unforgettable day our Grade 4 students had on their trip to Roselands! From start to finish, the excitement was palpable as we embarked on our adventure-filled journey.

We kicked off the day with an orienteering challenge that led us to the dam. Upon arrival, we were greeted by stunning views and a perfect sunny sky. The students wasted no time diving into the fun! Many bravely took on the zip line, soaring over the water with huge smiles. Canoeing was another highlight, with friends paddling together and exploring the shimmering surface. For the thrill-seekers, the 5-meter jump into the water was a fantastic way to cool off, followed by laughter and cheers all around.

After the water activities, we hiked to conduct a water study and were thrilled to spot the endangered Blue Swallow, a rare treat for everyone! The day continued with a variety of games on the field, where teamwork and friendly competition filled the air.

As the sun began to set, we gathered around a cozy bonfire to enjoy delicious food and make smoors—what a perfect way to end the day! We even had water games and a mud obstacle course that left everyone giggling and muddy.

A huge thank you to Roselands for providing such an amazing experience. This trip was not only fun but also a wonderful opportunity for our boys and girls to bond and learn.
