Grade 0 & 1 Visit to the SPCA - 22 November
A very big and sincere thank you to everyone who contributed towards the SPCA collection this term.
Mrs Shewan made a significant food drop-off at the Mooi River SPCA, which is currently in need of food and monetary donations. There were some very excited dogs and cats!
The two classes that collected the most food and supplies visited the Howick SPCA animal shelter to deliver the donations. The morning began with a ‘chain gang’ of children loading the trailer and the Avanza, both packed to the brim with food! Upon arrival at the Howick SPCA, the children and teachers enjoyed a tour of the shelter.
The Howick SPCA is home to many dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies. So, if you’re looking for a pet, this is the place to visit!
After the visit, the children climbed aboard the bus, and we headed to Michaelhouse for a picnic and ice creams in the shade.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the outing and could see firsthand that their donations would make a meaningful difference.
Once again, THANK YOU!
