Exams over, it was time for the Grade 6s and 7s to stretch the legs, and have some fun with our friends and colleagues at Nottingham Road Primary. Having spent time with the Nottingham Road Primary children earlier in the year, it was easy to rekindle acquaintances and to set about attacking the Amazing Race course.
What a privilege it was to to host Mr Pat McKrill recently. An expert herpetologist (snake guru), he spent a very valuable 3 hours with our Grade 6 & 7s. With the help of his ‘friends’ (two Puff Adders, an enormous Vietnamese Rat Snake and a rehabilitated Brown House Snake (which was later released on campus).
The Grade 6s and 7s took a gentle stroll through Top Woods to spend time doing some of the important ‘stuff’ – enjoying one another’s company - for a picnic at Cliff's Dam. Heading on this very traditional walk, just like so many Clifton children have done in years gone by, the excitement levels were high.
