An enthusiastic group of Grade 5 squash players arrived on Sunday, undeterred by a clash with the Clifton Riding Show. The tournament was filled with great fun and energy, thanks in no small part to our dedicated seniors who kept the buzz alive and helped teach scoring techniques. Special thanks go to our Captain, Cayden, Vice Captains Ross and Jen, and Litsi Makara for their guidance, while Addison Couzens did an excellent job as timekeeper.
We had another wonderful morning of fun on Sunday with the Grade 4 squash group. The children played brilliantly together, showing great energy, determination, and wonderful sportsmanship throughout. It was heartening to see how much they are growing in both skill and confidence on the court.
Our Grade 3 squash tournament on Sunday was a wonderful success! The energy was high, the smiles were big, and the excitement on court was high throughout. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Jellie and our amazing seniors – Cayden Flockhart, Ross and Jack Warburton, and Welmud Van der Merwe – for guiding and encouraging the young players.
We held the Grade 2 squash tournament on Sunday, 31 August, and it turned out to be a wonderful and joy-filled morning. A huge thank you to our dedicated seniors – Cayden Flockhart, Ross Warburton, Jennifer Skead, and Sibu Mthethwa – whose enthusiasm and support made the few hours so special for our little players. Their superb contribution ensured that our young boys and girls not only had fun but also felt encouraged and inspired.
On Sunday, 17 August, we hosted our very first squash tournament of 2025 – an exciting and memorable occasion for our Grade 0 and Grade 1 children. The little ones threw themselves into the festive spirit of the day, showing incredible enthusiasm and determination as they stepped onto the court.
The Maritzburg College Hockey Festival was a real highlight for our U11A and 1st Team boys. Both teams had a fantastic time, playing against strong opposition and making the most of an excellent opportunity to represent the school.
This year’s carnival was an absolute delight for kids. We had a wonderful turnout and spent a lovely afternoon filled with laughter, excitement, and community spirit.
During the recent school holidays, we hosted our much-anticipated pony camps, and what an incredible time we had! The camps were a huge success, filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.
