The Greatest Show: A Triumphant Finale by Clifton’s Grade 7s
The Clifton Preparatory School’s Grade 7s dazzled audiences with their production of The Greatest Show, a musical extravaganza that left a lasting impression. Despite having just two and a half weeks of rehearsal—a tight timeframe that tested their dedication—the children delivered a performance that was nothing short of spectacular.
We have had a lot of fun in the art studio this term - creating, experimenting and making beautiful art. We have done some lovely displays both downstairs in the EAC and in the foyer for special events. The JP children have had fun painting pine cones and making farmyard pictures and learning all about paper collage.
Cliftones
The Cliftones children have enjoyed a busy and joyful term as they prepared for their Junior Primary Concert. Their time and energy have been dedicated to learning songs and perfecting the actions that brought the show to life. The children worked with determination and their effort has clearly paid off.
Choir
The Senior Primary Choir have enjoyed a quieter term with fewer concerts, but the children have been working with great focus and enthusiasm. Their main aim has been to perfect a selection of songs that they hope to share next term.
During the term, the Clifton Band and Marimba Ensemble delivered a series of vibrant performances, showcasing the musical talent within the school. A key event was the Grade 6 Showcase, where the Marimba Ensemble performed two upbeat pieces: "Sea-shells" and "Show me the way". The evening also featured solo performances by talented instrumentalists including Kian Moor (drums), Zoe Ngwenya (piano), Masedi Kaibe (violin), Esihle Zungu (ukulele), and Ava Davids (guitar).
The Pre-School’s highly anticipated "Rhyme Time on the Bridge" performance brought joy and pride as our Bees, Shongololos, and Fireflies stepped onto the stage with confidence and delight. The children sang a selection of beloved nursery rhymes, charming their audience with enthusiasm, expression, and full participation.
A Night to Remember
On Friday, 5 September, the SP children gathered in the theatre for the much-anticipated Spring Ball of 2025, an evening that proved to be an unforgettable celebration of talent, friendship, and joy. From the very first step onto the dance floor, it was clear that the children were ready to make this a night to remember.
