Pre-School Nursery Rhyme Time on the Bridge: 8 + 9 September
The Pre-School’s highly anticipated "Rhyme Time on the Bridge" performance brought joy and pride as our Bees, Shongololos, and Fireflies stepped onto the stage with confidence and delight. The children sang a selection of beloved nursery rhymes, charming their audience with enthusiasm, expression, and full participation.
Nursery rhymes play a crucial role in early childhood development. They help build vocabulary, rhythm, memory, and listening skills while encouraging imagination and creativity. Besides language development, rhymes also foster social connection, shared joy, and cultural traditions. Through song and verse, children learn to express themselves, gain confidence, and lay the foundation for literacy.
True to Clifton’s mission of championing the integrity of childhood while inspiring personal achievement, the children rose beautifully to the occasion. Their performance was enriched by our school’s values of playfulness, respect, and wholeheartedness, reflecting the intentional care with which our teachers nurture both character and learning.
The morning left parents and staff smiling, reminding everyone once again that even simple songs can convey the most meaningful lessons.
