Parent Schoology Training - 9:00-9:45am in the CAV Assembly Room
Hi CAV Families,
We had a great first week! We ran out of parking spaces the first day! It was so exciting to have everyone join in our pledge and assembly. We are building community and joining together to start our day.
I know there was a long line for pick up. It is always hard the first week as we learn the new routine. We do get better at this and thank you for your patience.
We have openings for more students. You are our best supporters. If you know someone looking for an educational option, please let them know of our openings. This will help support our community and build our program.
Do you know a music teacher looking for part-time? We are looking for a teacher to teach our K-3 classes. They must have a music credential. It is about 6-7 hours a week and can be spread out Tuesday through Friday or longer days two days a week. Please have them call the office, if interested.
Take care,
Kirstin Lasto
CAV Principal

There will be ONE LANE (right lane) for K-2 pick-up at 3pm.
We will create TWO lanes of traffic (one for A-K on the left and one for L-Z on the right for 3rd-8th pick-up at 3:30pm).
We will be guiding you through the process and directing traffic to create a safe drop off and pick up area. Here is a flyer on how we direct track through the parking lot.

Hello All! So excited to have kids back on campus next week. We are starting off the year reminding students to "Start with Hello." Encourage your students to meet someone new, start a conversation with kids they don't usually talk to, and simply start by saying "Hello."
I will be wearing green to support hello week, so you are welcome to do so as well. Students who were here last year may remember the class lesson I did, but I have attached a fun hello song for lower elementary. You can play it for them daily and encourage kindness and being inclusive of everyone at school. For upper grades, the below video gives a good overview of what Start With Hello means. Thank you all!

PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
The Parent Volunteer Program was established to connect parents’ skills, passion, and abilities to their school community. Parent volunteers are the backbone of The Classical Academy program, and our parents’ leadership and talents are truly what make our school successful! You can find the link to log your volunteer hours in the weekly school updates (look for the ‘volunteer’ icon at the top of the newsletter). Please enter all the information correctly so that your hours are applied to the correct category/event.
As the year progresses, the Parent Volunteer Coordinator may email you with links to sign up for events that may need help as well as any needed donations. Parents are always welcome to volunteer where they would like and do not need to wait to be invited to help. Our parents are always welcome on campus and in the classroom!
