Renaissance's Gift of Literacy means that a single statewide shared login to the myON digital library and news articles can be used by all California students. With this shared account opportunity, every student can access unlimited reading opportunities at home, at school, and in their community.
From December 1, 2021, to January 31, 2022, any California student can benefit from 24-hour access to thousands of myON books in English and Spanish. Students can easily browse or search the digital library to find books to match their interests and grade level. There are also options for students to read books online or offline, even in low-bandwidth environments.
With that same shared login, students can also read myON daily news articles in English, Spanish, or French. These articles have been written by journalists for students and reviewed by a child psychologist for age-appropriate content.
Follow these simple steps to log in to myON and start reading:
• Go to https://www.myon.com/index.html and click on “myON login”
• Sign in using the single statewide shared account credentials
o School Name: Gift of Literacy
o Username: myon
o Password: read
• Select a book or news article and start reading!
**All books downloaded during this time are able to be kept and accessed afterwards!
**Reminder**
Please remember your face masks/coverings!
Our supplies are limited and running out quickly. We would greatly appreciate it if everyone could remember to send their students to school with their own mask.
Thank you!
Attention 8th grade parents:

The book fair will continue through this Wednesday, December 8th. Families can stop by at any time during the day. Tons of great books and fun items will be on display on the first floor in our C track lobby. Christmas time is right around the corner and books make great gifts!

The Parent Volunteer Program was established to connect parents’ skills, passion, and abilities to their school community. Parent volunteers are the backbone of The Classical Academy program, and our parents’ leadership and talents are truly what make our school successful! You can find the link to log your volunteer hours in the weekly school updates (look for the ‘volunteer’ icon at the top of the newsletter). Please enter all the information correctly so that your hours are applied to the correct category/event.
As the year progresses, the Parent Volunteer Coordinator may email you with links to sign up for events that may need help as well as any needed donations.
