BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

Dear Families,

The Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school! Over the summer, participating brands have begun to change their packaging from the traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops label. Going forward, instead of clipping from packages and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipt. The Box Tops for Education team has worked hard to build a NEW-and-improved, user-friendly Box Tops mobile app, available now. The new app features state-of-the-art technology that allows you to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to our school's earnings online.

If you have any questions, please contact our Box Tops Parent volunteer:

PARKING AND SCHOOL DAILY SCHEDULE

Parking Policy

Please follow the arrows and sign to our parking lot. We are the second lot as you drive in. The first lot is for the Church and Preschool only. We want to be respectful of our neighbors, so please park in our lot only.

There is no drop off in the church parking lot. For security of our kids, we need to drop them off in our parking lot or directly to our office. This is especially important for our K-2 classrooms on the first level. They must go to the office and be walked to class if they are late.

Thank you for following our parking policies!

School Drop Off Traffic Flow Diagram

School Pick Up Traffic Flow Diagram

Drop off is from 8:30 - 8:45 am.

We will meet in the gym for our all school assembly from 8:45 - 9:00 am. All family and friends are welcome at our morning assembly. All kids will follow their teacher to their first morning class at 9:00 am.

Late arrivals will need to check in at the office. Office Staff will walk students to their class.

Pick up is at 3:00 pm for K-2nd and 3:30 pm for 3-8th.

Younger siblings waiting for older ones will be supervised on the playground until the 3:30 pm pick up.

We have two lines of traffic that come into the pickup area.

At book pick up, you will receive a placard with your last name to display in your car window.

Last names beginning with A-K are on the playground lane (inner right lane) and L-Z are on the parking lot lane (left lane). Signs will be posted to help with traffic flow. The first few weeks will be slower as we learn to recognize cars. Please be patient as we work this out. Last year we were able to get everyone in and out within 10 minutes.

PARENT FORMS

Alternate Pick Up - Please complete this form and bring to our front office if your child(ren) will be picked up by someone other than a parent or guardian

Medication Form - 2019-20 Medication Form will now require a doctors signature for ANY medication

Household Information Update - Please return this form to the office with any new information so we can update our records. If you change your residential address, we will need a current proof of residence showing the new address.

NEW Medication Policy for the 2019-2020 school year

The California Department of Education has requirements for the way schools handle student medications, and because of that, all TCA schools will put into effect the following medication policy for the 2019-2020 school year.

Per Education Code 49423 & 49423.1, any medication required to be taken during school hours, whether prescribed or over-the-counter, must have a doctor's signature, name of the medication, dosage, schedule, and method of delivery . We also must have a written statement from the parent indicating the desire to have the school assist the student with the medication per the doctor's order. Even if your student will be carrying their medication with them, we still have to have a signed form from the doctor, from the student stating they understand how to take the medication, and signed approval from the parent.

We will no longer be able to administer any type of medication (not even Tylenol or Ibuprofen) without a doctor's signature, even if it is only a one-time situation. We will also no longer be able to accept any loose medication. All medication must be in the original container.

We know this might be inconvenient, but it is really for the safety of the students. Since we do not have licensed nurses on site, these changes are being made to allow safe delivery of medication and predictable outcomes for students who are assisted by unlicensed personnel. We are receiving annual training by the school nurse to deliver medications safely. Any medication requiring extra skill for delivery will be communicated to the school nurse who will then set up training with selected staff.

If your child will need to have medication available in the office next school year, you can pick up one of the new medication forms ,which has a spot for your doctor's signature, in the front office or download the form here.

Please note, this new form is only good for one year and should not be dated before July 1st, 2019.
