June 15-17: Moving to 2022 University Dr., Vista, 92083 The office will be closed during the move. We will open at our new site on June 18th. Office hours are 8-4.
Dear Families,
You have made it! We made it through the 20/21 School Year, and you are now on to summer. Thank you for all you did to partner with us during this very difficult school year. We are ready to move to our new site and start fresh in the fall. We are moving from June 15th to the 17th. The office will be closed during this time, but will reopen at 2022 University Dr., Vista, 92083 on June 18th. We are so excited to be on an adventure!
We will be working most of the summer to ready our new school for the 21/22 school year. There is a lot to get ready, and the plans are under way. Without you, this would not be happening. We will be registering students throughout the summer. We have many 1st grade A/B spots available, so if you know someone with a 1st grader, send them our way. We have plenty of C track spots in all grades. As we add more C track students, we will be able to support more on campus time and activities.
I wish you all a wonderful for summer. For our 8th graders, we will miss you next year. I hope that you will come by and visit. We love seeing our former students and hearing about the plans you have for the future. CAV is an amazing place to be! Thank you for being on this journey with us!
See you in the fall,
Kirstin Lasto
CAV Principal

School Meals Available at Community Locations
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended meal flexibilities to schools through the summer of 2021 and the 2021-22 school year. Districts and schools will be able to continue providing free meals to any school-aged child regardless of the school they normally attend, and allow parents and guardians to pick up meals without the student being present.
Click here to view a list from the California Department of Education showing all sites in San Diego County authorized to serve summer meals. Additionally, please visit 2021 Summer Meal Sites for Students for more information on how your neighborhood school will participate.

There are now three ways you can submit Box Tops!
There are still products out there with traditional Box Tops that you clip and send. We will still accept those! Bring any clipped Box Tops to our front office.
Eventually all Box Tops will change to the new label - you can download the Box Tops app and scan your receipts - every box top is still worth 10 cents for our school!
*Or* Bring in your receipts and we will scan them for you!
Please follow the arrows and sign to our parking lot. We are the second lot as you drive in. The first lot is for the Church only. We want to be respectful of our neighbors, so please park in our lot.
There is no drop off in the church parking lot. For security of our kids, we need to drop them off in our parking lot or directly to our office. This is especially important for our K-2 classrooms on the first level. They must go to the office and be walked to class if they are late.
Thank you for following our parking policies!
School Drop Off/Pick Up Traffic Flow Diagram
Drop off will be 15 minutes prior to scheduled class.
Students will line up outside in the basketball court and be walked to class by their teacher.
Late arrivals will need to check in at the office. Office Staff will walk students to their class.
