arrival and dismissal

Student drop-off takes place on the west and south side of the school building from 7:25-7:45 A.M. Staff members will supervise students out of their car. Please encourage your child to take off their own seat belt and open their own car door.  We want to encourage independence. For your child's safety, never allow your child out of the car without a staff member present. Breakfast will be served from 7:25-7:40 every morning. Students who enter the building at 7:25 will go to the gym to be supervised until 7:35.  At 7:35, all students will be escorted to their classroom.

Walkers will leave Lykins before carpool begins.  They will exit Lykins in the front of the school at the blue smiley face, parents are welcome to meet their child there. Teachers will escort students to the 3 different numbers labeled on the map. 

SLC car rider students will be dismissed in the front of the building.  

Kinder, 1st, & 2nd grade car riders and their older siblings will be  dismissed from the front of the building.  Parents will hang their car tag sign in the window. Students will be escorted to their cars.  

3rd-5th grade car riders without younger siblings will be dismissed from the south side of the building.  3rd grade car riders and their older siblings will be dismissed from the bus lane closest to the building.  4th and 5th grade students will be dismissed from the inner parking lot lane. 

Any dismissal changes must be communicated to your child's teacher and/or front office no later than 2:00 PM.
