Hi! 

My name is Whitney McLaughlin, and I am thrilled to be joining the Bothwell family in the library! As a former classroom teacher, I have a passion for literacy, creativity, and building student engagement and excitement. My hope is to plant the seeds for students to grow into lifelong readers and learners. 

The library should be a space that students love to visit and where all students feel encouraged to read, explore new ideas, and grow as learners.  We will learn to use the library both as a valuable resource for discovering information and also to inspire imagination while exploring creatively through hands-on makerspace stations that spark curiosity and innovation.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends. I have been married for 20 years, and I have two teenage boys. My greatest joy is watching my boys do the things they love...so, in the fall, you will find me in the football stands; during the winter I'll be courtside, and over the spring and summer, I will be at the baseball fields! When I'm not watching my boys, we are cheering on the Aggies!
