Hello! My name is Mrs. Saur (pronounced "sour"). I am so excited to be your child’s 3rd grade Math and Science teacher! I will be partnering with Mrs.Troeger, who will be teaching ELAR and Social Studies.

I was born and raised in Sherman and have spent my teaching career serving in various elementary roles across North Texas. This will be my third year at Bothwell Elementary, and I am so excited to be back!

My husband and I are Texas Tech graduates and lifelong Red Raider fans! We have three daughters and three dogs who keep us busy. On the weekends, you can find me cheering on our youngest at cheer competitions, attending a WGHS football game, reading, working on puzzles, or relaxing with my family on our patio.

Building strong relationships with my students and their families is one of my top priorities. I believe mistakes are an important part of learning  because that's how we grow. My goal is to create a classroom that feels like a home-a place where every child feels safe, valued, supported, and excited to learn. I am excited to partner with you to make this school year one to remember!

In addition to email, 3rd grade will be using ClassDojo! It’s a great way to stay connected and see all the amazing things your child will be doing throughout the year, along with important grade-level reminders. 

A parent QR code will be provided at Meet the Teacher. 

Thursday folders will be sent each Thursday with graded work, school flyers, and class reminders. Please return Thursday Folders to school the following day

Please keep a Ziplock back of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please make sure to swap out the clothes to fit the changing weather.
