Welcome to our Class!

Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Arden Killingsworth, and I am so blessed to be teaching second grade at Bothwell Elementary! Although this is my first year at Bothwell and my first year teaching second grade, I was previously in a fourth grade classroom in Lubbock, Texas. I am excited to bring that experience with me as I begin this new adventure. I can't wait to get to know my students and their families and make this a wonderful year together!

I graduated from Celina High School, where I was a proud Bobcat and enjoyed being a member of the cheer and track teams. After high school, I attended Texas Tech University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Wreck 'Em!

Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family, shopping, trying new restaurants, watching movies, and playing with my two dogs, Elle and Chewy.

I am so excited for the upcoming school year and can't wait to meet everyone! I look forward to working together to make this school year a fun, successful, and memorable one. Here's to making it the BESt year ever!

What to do before Meet The Teacher:

5:30-6:15 (A-L) 1st - 4th

6:15-7:00 (M-Z) 1st - 4th

Please bring student supplies if you have them. You do not need to label each item as we will organize all supplies on the first day!

This year our class will be using Class Dojo! Class Dojo is great way to contact me and to see all of the amazing things your second graders will be doing throughout the year. The parent sign-up sheet will be provided at Meet the Teacher!

Thursday Folders

Weekly Bobcat (Thursday) folders with graded school work will come home each Thursday. Please return them on Friday.

CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE

Lunch money may be added to your child's lunch account online on the School Cafe site.

Please provide a healthy, dry snack for your child to eat in class during snack time and a flip top/straw water bottle that can be easily refilled. No screw top bottles please.

2ND GRADE SPECIALS SCHEDULE

Our students attend a different specials class each day for 50 minutes. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or bring them to change into.

Change of Clothes

Please keep a Ziplock back of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please make sure to swap out the clothes to fit the changing weather.
