My name is Tiffany Ragland, and I am privileged to be the counselor for Bothwell Elementary. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University and completed my Masters for School Counseling, from Dallas Baptist University. I have been in education for twenty-eight years. I have taught second, third, fourth, fifth and preschool. My first two years were in Manor ISD, preschool for Apple Creek Private Preschool, and twenty-three years for Frisco ISD, thirteen as a counselor. This will be my third year serving as a counselor for Celina ISD.
My husband and I have been married for twenty-nine years. We are the proud parents of Austin and Laney that are Aggie grads and starting their careers.
My counseling role allows me to work with students, parents and staff. Research shows that social and emotional learning, along with character education is equally important as academics. I serve our students by facilitating social and emotional learning into daily lessons, guidance lessons, morning meetings, class meetings, small groups, and working with individual students. We will work together to build a strong sense of purpose along with positive relationships to provide the optimal learning environment for our students.
Character Education and Social Emotional Learning are my passion. I truly feel that in order for our students to be successful, we have to set the foundation of their well-being with social-emotional learning and character education. I am looking forward to an AMAZING year at Bothwell, and having the opportunity to be a part of your child's life.
