My name is Tiffany Ragland, and I am privileged to be the counselor for Bothwell Elementary. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University and completed my Masters for School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I have been in education for twenty-nine years. I have taught second, third, fourth, fifth and preschool. My first two years were in Manor ISD, preschool for Apple Creek Private Preschool, and twenty-three years for Frisco ISD, fourteen in the counselor role. This will be my fourth year serving as a counselor for Celina ISD.
My husband and I have been married for thirty years. We are the proud parents of Austin and Laney that are Aggie grads and starting their careers.
My counseling role allows me to work with students, parents and staff. Research shows that social skills, along with character education is equally important as academics. I serve our students by facilitating character building into daily lessons, guidance lessons, morning meetings, class meetings, small groups, and working with individual students. We will work together to build a strong sense of purpose along with positive relationships to provide the optimal learning environment for our students.
Character Education is my passion. I truly feel that in order for our students to be successful, we have to set the foundation of their well-being with social and emotional skills and character education. I am looking forward to an AMAZING year at Bothwell, and having the opportunity to be a part of your child's life.
