Hello! My name is Julia Sweeney and I am super excited for this year as a third grade here at Bothwell! I grew up a little south of Celina in Carrollton, TX. I then moved to Lubbock where I got my Bachelors in Languages and Cultures with a focus in American Sign Language! I have a background in ABA therapy and teaching first grade. I am so excited to continue my teaching career here in Celina!
I have a handsome chihuahua named Bugzy, he is my best friend who loves to be by my side and is my camping, hiking, or relaxing buddy! When I am at home I love to cook, bake, read, paint, really anything I can get my hands on!
I cannot wait to start this year and experience this amazing bobcat family. Here's to an amazing year!
Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 11th.
5:30-6:15 (A-L) 1st - 5th
6:15-7:00 (M-Z) 1st - 5th
Please bring student supplies. You do not need to label each item as we will organize all supplies on the first day!
This year our class will be using Class Dojo! Class Dojo is great way to contact me and to see all of the amazing things your third graders will be doing throughout the year. The parent sign-up sheet will be provided at Meet the Teacher!
Thursday folders will be sent each Thursday with graded work, school flyers, and class reminders. Please return Thursday Folders to school the following day.
Our students attend a different specials class each day for 50 minutes. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or bring them to change into.
CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE
Students will be allowed a snack time in the morning, so please send them with a healthy, clean snack each day. Make sure the snack does not require a spoon or is in liquid form. Examples of appropriate snacks are Cheezits, goldfish, and pretzels.
Students need to bring their own refillable flip top/straw water bottle (water only) each day. No screw top bottles please.
