Welcome to our Class!

My name is Salwa Moussa, and I am thrilled to be at Bothwell Elementary as a second grade teacher! I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Elementary Education and an ESL certification.

My husband and I have been married for thirty five years, and are the proud parents of four daughters, and five grandchildren! When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family, reading, and shopping.

I am so excited for the upcoming school year, and cannot wait to meet everyone! Looking forward to partnering with you to make this school year the BESt year ever.

What to do before Meet The Teacher:

5:30-6:15 (A-L) 1st - 5th

6:15-7:00 (M-Z) 1st - 5th

Please bring student supplies if you have them. You do not need to label each item as we will organize all supplies on the first day!

This year our class will be using Class Dojo! Class Dojo is great way to contact me and to see all of the amazing things your second graders will be doing throughout the year. The parent sign-up sheet will be provided at Meet the Teacher!

Thursday Folders

Thursday Folders will be sent home weekly, on Thursdays, with graded work, school flyers, and class reminders. Please return Thursday Folders to school the following school day.

CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE

Lunch money may be added to your child's lunch account online on the School Cafe site.

Please provide a healthy, dry snack for your child to eat in class during snack time and a flip top/straw water bottle that can be easily refilled. No screw top bottles please.

2ND GRADE SPECIALS SCHEDULE

Our students attend a different specials class each day for 50 minutes. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or bring them to change into.

Change of Clothes

Please keep a Ziplock back of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please make sure to swap out the clothes to fit the changing weather.
