I am thrilled to be back in Celina ISD and joining the Kindergarten team here at Bothwell Elementary! This will be my 8th year in Education. Before joining the Bothwell family, I taught Pre-K in McKinney, 2nd Grade at Lykins Elementary, and Kindergarten in Frisco.
I was raised in Arkansas and attended college at Louisiana Tech University. My family and I moved to McKinney, Texas 10 years ago. I have 3 beautiful children, 4 sweet dogs, a leopard gecko, a madagascar day gecko, & a corn snake! My daughter, Tatum (20), is starting her 3rd year at Texas A&M where she is majoring in Education. My daughter, Marley (18), is starting her 1st year at Colorado Mesa University where she will be competing on their Swim & Dive team. My son, Liam (13), is starting 8th grade and spends most of his time playing golf, fishing, & exploring the outdoors. And my husband, Scott, works as a nuclear engineer and we have been married for 21 years. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, traveling, crafting, and baking!
My goal for this year is to create a family of learners in my classroom. I am committed to fostering an environment where every student is a loved, trusted, and valued part of our family. I cannot wait to see how much they each learn & grow!
We're going to have the BESt year!!
Due to Bothwell Beginnings, Meet the Kindergarten Team will be on Monday, August 10th in the Kindergarten Hallway. We will have Kindergarten Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 17th from 5:30-6:30.
Please check your child's folder each day. This will be where behavior notes, daily notes, and other information will be sent home. This is also where you will send notes to school.
