Welcome to our Class!

Hello!

My name is Ryan Cunningham and I am so excited to be at Bothwell for another amazing year in 2nd grade! This will be my 12th year of teaching and my 6th year in second grade. I have previously taught in Mansfield and Frisco.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with my Elementary Education Degree.... Axe 'Em Jacks!

I have been married to my husband Matt for 8 years. We have a 4 year old son named Landon and a dog named Charlie! We have lived in Celina for 6 years and love being a part of the community. When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with family and friends, going for runs, and reading books.

When I am in my classroom I am truly in my happy place! I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year and cannot wait to help them learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically. We are going to have a fantastic school year together!

What to do before Meet The Teacher:

5:30-6:15 (A-L) 1st - 5th

6:15-7:00 (M-Z) 1st - 5th

Please bring student supplies if you have them. You do not need to label each item as we will organize all supplies on the first day!

This year our class will be using Class Dojo! Class Dojo is great way to contact me and to see all of the amazing things your second graders will be doing throughout the year. The parent sign-up sheet will be provided at Meet the Teacher!

thursday Folders

Thursday folders will be sent home weekly, on Thursdays, with graded work, school flyers, and class reminders. Please return Thursday Folders to school the following day.

CLASS DAILY SCHEDULE

Lunch money may be added to your child's lunch account online on the School Cafe site.

Please provide a healthy, dry snack for your child to eat in class during snack time and a flip top/straw water bottle that can be easily refilled. No screw top bottles please.

2ND GRADE SPECIALS SCHEDULE

Our students attend a different specials class each day for 50 minutes. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E. or bring them to change into.

2nd Grade Specials Calendar

Change of Clothes

Please keep a Ziplock back of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please make sure to swap out the clothes to fit the changing weather.
