Section 5.7

End of Semester Showcase

Congratulations!  Your students have worked hard this semester!  They have selected an innovation that has personal meaning to them and thoroughly investigated it.  They have learned to work on a team and use an Agile Software Development process to create informational products.  Their challenges have resulted in a website that holds a detailed analysis of their innovation, a case study on the company, an educational quiz game, a recruitment artifact, a cybersecurity and relevant laws research essay and a citizen science project with analysis and recommendations.  It is time to showcase the work your students have accomplished.

This is an opportunity to go further than a gallery walk in the classroom.  Consider having a showcase before or after school and inviting parents, administrators and other teachers.  It is a great opportunity to bring in community partners and also recruit potential students for next year.  Allow the students to demonstrate their website and talk about their findings.  If this is happening in December, you can use this as part of the CS Education Week!
